More than a thousand people from Lela community in Kadibo division, Nyando district have benefited from free health care services courtesy of jamii international a non-profit organization based in the US. the two day medical camp held at K'owala primary school brought together volunteer medical practitioners from US and ahero sub district hospital.

The motive of the exercise was to reach the underserved and neglected persons to improve healthcare among our rural families according to the team leaders Carolyne lisk and Dr. Nick Gichu. Chairman of the proposed Lela community health centre Patrick opande, organizers Fred and Lornah Owaga appreciated the team the team work and cooperation from local leaders espesialy the Nyando district medical office who supported the initiative, the team however appealed for future linkages and partnerships from wellwishers, like minded organizations to help give back to the community for success to be seen.
